Climate Change

Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity, with a significant impact on the oceans. Known consequences to date include rising sea levels, ocean warming and acidification. These changes are altering the living conditions in marine ecosystems, sometimes with significant effects on marine life. Coral reefs, for instance, are greatly affected by ocean warming and acidification. Many of these effects have not yet been fully researched. Therefore, investigating and mitigating these developments is a key goal of research.
