Ocean Warming

Ocean warming refers to the increase in average sea temperatures caused by climate change. The main cause is the greenhouse effect, whereby a significant amount of excess heat is absorbed by the world's oceans. This leads to coral bleaching, rising sea levels, and oxygen deficits. Ocean warming is one of the greatest challenges in the fight against climate change.
